Summary of Position:
Provide support for Ferris Print Services operating printing and binding equipment, utilizing Design software, supervising students, working with a variety of customers to deliver quality materials, accurate billing and excellent customer service. Part-Time employees are limited to working no more than 28 hours per week.

Associates degree or equivalent industry experience.

Required Work Experience:
Six months experience in a production print environment or similar experience operating print and bindery equipment and processes.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Schedule, train and supervise student employees Operate printing and finishing equipment as necessary to meet production deadlines Monitor department emails, initiate work orders in system and respond to customer inquiries Interact with customers, field inquiries from a variety of sources (email, phone, in-person) and assist them with placing and tracking orders Monitor billing system and follow up on outstanding receivables Assist with course pack process Open and/or close print center as scheduled Prepare jobs for printing and send proofs (if necessary) using various computer and design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, etc. Recognize, analyze, troubleshoot and make minor repairs to equipment. Contact contracted repair technicians as needed to resolve printing issues. Operate a point of sale system, balance daily receipts with cash sheets and prepare deposits. Operates university motorized vehicles in a safe manner while performing job duties. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members. Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
Marginal Duties/Responsibilities:
Reports directly to the manager of Ferris Printing Services or his/her designee Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of designated information including test and other confidential materials Performs all duties in accordance with University Policies and applicable laws Hire, Train and direct work of student employees Promote the variety of print services offered in various ways of media Open and close facility as needed.

Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
