Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for developing manufacturing processes, production floor layouts and associated tools. Reviews new designs for manufacturability. Designs process improvements to reduce product cost, process cycle time and improved product quality.
Job Summary
The Senior Engineer, Manufacturing oversees and project manages large engineering projects. This job serves as the technical lead for both internal and external engineering teams. The senior engineer is responsible for the management of projects from start to end from both a resource management and outcome perspective. This job leads teams as necessary but is not be a people manager.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage process improvement projects.
Lead capital project and process improvement teams, or support projects as a contributing team member.
Troubleshoot with a hands-on approach in resolving equipment related problems.
Handle various responsibilities simultaneously and successfully meet deadlines.
Writes protocols and performs validations of new/improved materials and processes.
Generating and maintaining Quality System documentation.
Ensures FDA/ISO/EN compliance in areas of responsibility.
Supports Production personnel by resolving process and material related quality problems in support of the various manufacturing departments.
Supports plant cost reduction and process improvement projects through the use of various tools such as FMEA, process capability, DOE, Gage R&R, etc.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience preferred
BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred
Knowledge of process controls, equipment design, and AutoCAD. Six Sigma experience/certification preferred.
