The University of Rochester's Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) supports researchers to help them produce results better and faster, to ultimately improve the health of communities and populations. CTSI develops approaches to advance translational research through workforce education and training, fostering multidisciplinary teams, improving quality and efficiency, and engaging community and national stakeholders in research.
CTSI is currently searching for an early-career Clinical Research Data Specialist. The Clinical Research Data Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting our institution’s research initiatives by engaging study participants, helping UR research investigators recruit qualified candidates for their clinical trials. CTSI is implementing a new online platform for study enrollment and the Clinical Research Data Specialist will be responsible for adding studies to the platform, along with executing digital and social media strategies to recruit participants.
This involves:
Drafting clinical trial listings in plain language for all UR research trials and obtaining sign-offs before finalizing the listings. After the listing is live, maintaining up-to-date information on the site.
Supporting the social media strategy for participant outreach and engagement, managing ad campaigns within Facebook Ads Manager.
Updating the UR Research Volunteer Registry email lists with new volunteers and creating newsletters to share with people in the registry.
Improving the use and effectiveness of CTSI’s membership in ResearchMatch.org, a national volunteer registry. Promotes and tracks use of the registry by investigators and promotes registry to potential volunteers.
Responding to emails and phone calls from community members when they are seeking information about available clinical trials. Occasionally attends community events to promote the UR Research Volunteer Registry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimally, Associate’s degree and 1 year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience enrolling research subjects and implementing clinical trial protocols
Content management, social media management, or marketing experience a plus
Position will require occasional travel
