The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include clinical and didactic teaching of prosthodontics at the dental student and resident levels, scholarly activity, participation in faculty practice and institutional service. Candidates should demonstrate a clear potential for academic growth in teaching, scholarship, clinical practice and service.
The individual should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to create an environment that promotes collegiality, collaboration, and cultural diversity. A willingness to serve as a role model and advocate for the ideals of professionalism and high ethical standards in a health science educational setting is essential.
Requirements: DDS/DMD degree (or foreign equivalent) from a CODA accredited institution. NYS dental license or eligibility Certificate in prosthodontics from a CODA accredited advanced dental education program by the employment start date.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with digital dentistry (CAD/CAM design and fabrication). Greater than 3-years of clinical, teaching and administrative experience. Board certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics (ABP). PhD, MS or other advanced degree (or foreign equivalent). National recognition for scholarly and publication activity. Participation in national organizations related to area of expertise.

To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Dental Medicine (School of Dental Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
