As the Director of Global To Local Strategy and Implementation, you'll be at the forefront of translating global health strategies into actionable programs that improve public health outcomes across Washington State. Your role will be instrumental in strengthening existing programs, developing new initiatives, and fostering strategic partnerships to drive holistic health solutions.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record in strategic leadership, with the ability to develop and implement innovative health programs that bridge global and local perspectives. You should be adept at translating research into actionable programs, analyzing data, and using these insights to guide decision-making and policy development. Strong skills in collaboration and partnership-building are essential, as is experience in managing budgets, securing funding, and overseeing grants. Your background should demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance, with a proactive approach to public engagement and communication.
Option1: Eleven (11) or more years of experience in public health, with a significant focus on Global Health or related areas.
Option 2: Bachelor’s degree in public health or a related field AND seven (7) or more years of experience in public health, with a significant focus on Global Health or related areas.
Option 3: Master’s degree in public health or a related field five (5) or more years of experience in public health, with a focus on Global Health or related areas.
And the following Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
Proven experience in strategic planning, program management, and policy development.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and secure funding for health initiatives.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
Excellent communication and public speaking skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse interested community members, interested parties/groups, and working partners.
Strong analytical skills and experience in data analysis.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of interested community members, interested parties/groups, and working partners, including government agencies, academic institutions, and non-governmental organizations.
Proficiency in project management software and data analysis tools.
In-depth understanding of Global to Local frameworks and principles and their application to public health.
Familiarity with local, national, and international health policies.
Knowledge of grant management and contract administration.
