The basics of this position:
Performs duties necessary to provide effective finance operations for the Information Technology Department. Serves as a resource person for Purchasing and adherence to Board policies and procedures. Provides quality customer service to Information Technology staff and college employees and/or students by answering questions and assisting in the resolution of problems regarding College finance business operations.
What you'll do:
Assists in providing purchasing services for Information Technology to include processing requisitions; issuing, reviewing, completing and maintaining purchase orders and affiliated paperwork/records. Reviews for budget availability. Performs follow-up on deficit accounts, keeps contract files up-to-date, resolves vendor invoice issues. Processes reports as requested. Ensures compliance with purchasing policy and procedures.
Reviews the supporting documentation, mathematical correctness and completeness of Telecom reports and billings. Prepares journal entries for Telecom charge back to College departments. Uploads documents to Telecom Share Point site. Maintains IT financial spreadsheets and files.
Collaborates with Campus Technology Project Managers, IT Transform Project Manager(s) and Sr. Managers of End User Support to support IT and College processes and policies.
May perform basic Banner navigation training in Finance and Purchasing; provides support as needed. Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Assists in providing purchasing services and reviewing budget availability to the Business Office for the Chief Operating Officer.
Education, experience, and other requirements:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent and over three (3) years of relevant full-time experience OR high school diploma or equivalent and over five (5) years full-time relevant experience.
