Job Summary: The Co-Op Assignment assists in daily operations of assigned area to gain professional work exposure and experience. Attends meetings, training, and educational events.
Additional Department Summary: Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Management Co-Op student will be responsible for the coordination and details of the project’s contract management, documentation, and reporting, making this role vital to the project team. Effective project coordination ensures that information is timely and clear, and the construction work is in line with the University of Alabama Systems Core Principles.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at the University of Alabama, in a sophomore status or higher. Minimum 2.5 GPA. Experience requirements based on needs of the assignment.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Skills and Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work with minimum supervision.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous construction experience. Knowledge and experience with Procore or other construction project management software.
