Responsible for IT experience of CHRS, I&E, and CHPS business associates and their clients. The Senior Software Engineer (SSE) will ensure that all business applications are meeting published SLAs whether they be SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, or on premise. In addition, SSE will act as the Business? liaison with CAH Corporate functions including IT, Project Management Office (PMO), and Indirect Procurement. The SSE will be involved with new business application selection and support all business apps through their full lifecycle. Experience supporting different variations of Cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) is critical as well as experience working in a large corporate shared services environment.
You will be in a professional individual contributor role focused on the IT needs of three Business Units (Cardinal Health Regulatory Sciences -CHRS, and Insights & Engagements - I&E, Cardinal Health Packaging Solutions - CHPS). The role requires a combination of technical lead, business analyst, application vendor management and managed services supervisory skills.
Responsibilities
Overall uptime for all Business applications including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and Business specific Desktop apps
Compliance with mandated patching schedules
Interact with R&M Team to ensure vendor contract renewals are timely executed
Ensure Purchase Orders are submitted and executed for new IT needs
Ensure appropriate resiliency provisions are in place and documented
Mitigation of app deficiencies identified and tracked in corporate issue tracking system
Provide business analysis to Business Users and Management to address questions related to Business IT applications
Maintain and Expand application monitoring capabilities for Business Applications
Coordination of priority calls and escalations with internal resources and vendors
Adhering to change management processes
Act as strategist with responsibility of guiding Business to adopt the most effective IT solutions
Develop high level business cases and tech refresh charters and implement approved asks
Ensure customer onboarding experience meets defined SLAs
Interact with Application vendors to ensure compliance with SLAs, conduct Root Cause and Problem Analysis, and coordinate service/product upgrades and changes
Coordinate with business, vendor, and computer systems validation team Regulatory Validation for Business Apps as required
Continually assess applications for error detection effectiveness and improve monitoring capabilities
Ownership of updated Business Technology Landscape diagrams
Maintain Resiliency status of Business Apps by updating Resiliency Plans and conducting HA/DR testing
Exhibits good Customer Relations skills when working with Business Partners (Leaders, Managers and Individual Contributors)
Conducts regular cadence business / IT alignment reviews
Is cool under pressure, effectively handling issues, and identifying the right timing and processes for escalation
Learns quickly and applies new skills to everyday work
Has good general IT background, including SaaS environments, GCP / IaaS, and Desktop environments

Qualifications
8-12 years of experience, preferred
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
Experience in Customer Relations, SaaS environments, GCP and IaaS, PaaS (e.g. Big Query), Microsoft SharePoint, Regulatory Validation (21 CFR Part 11), High Availability and Disaster Recovery preferred
Experience in ITIL processes - especially Change Control, Problem Solving skills, Windows Server OS, Windows Desktop OS, General TCP/IP Networks preferred
