The Department of Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University is looking for a Senior Research Data Analystto build models and conduct analysis in support of a research program on tick borne disease. The Senior Research Data Analyst would be responsible for developing models of the transmission of Lyme disease that incorporate models of immune responses to tick exposure and pathogen exposure. The position would require coordination of data generated across a multi-site study of immune responses to tick salivary proteins and interaction with collaborators across sites.
The Senior Research Data Analyst will report to Dr. Derek Cummings and work closely with staff conducting empirical work at sites across the US. Additional responsibilities would be coordinating systematic reviews to inform model construction, analysis of temporal dynamics of immune responses and administration of clinical trial regulatory and financial components.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and database of survey and immunological data from multi-site study.
Develop standard operating procedures for initial data entry and data updates.
Oversee quality control procedures for database and ongoing analysis.
Develop models of immunodynamics of immune responses to tick exposures.
Conduct statistical analyses of data collected in this system to support empirical study.
Build transmission models of Lyme disease incorporating ecological, climate, sociobehavioral and immunodynamics.
Create, and curate software in R, python in support of a research program in infectious disease transmission.
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience with REDCap programming or equivalent.
Experience with a statistical package (R preferred).
Experience with scientific writing.
Experience with a statistical inference methods including Bayesian approaches
Experience with MS Office and Zoom.
Ability to work on multiple tasks and with short deadlines.
