Position Summary
The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health) is hiring two full time Visiting Administrative Fellows to join their team. The Visiting Administrative Fellows will complete projects including research, proposal development and implementation planning and develop and implement policies and long-term plans within the assigned area of responsibility in the Hospital & Clinics. This position may serve in interim management roles for clinics and/or operational departments which includes direction of operational and administrative activities, establishing standards and monitoring quality and developing and implementing community outreach projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Participate in strategic planning and development of overall hospital and clinic activities by identifying, analyzing presenting and implementing initiatives and programs to improve service, increase revenue, improve efficiency and cost savings.
Prepare detailed reports as needed.
Conduct policy reviews as requested and write, develop and revise policies.
Serve in management and supervisory roles such as Interim Strategic Project Manager, Interim Clinic Director
Analyze and implement efforts to improve patient service in all care settings.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for unit including pre-admission, evaluation, admission, discharge, and post-discharge follow-up.
Assist the CEO and other senior leaders in generating meeting content, determining agendas, and facilitating follow-ups for weekly senior leader meetings and monthly leadership meetings.
Supervise and evaluate the ongoing operations.
Recommend program modifications or new programs to improve utilization and quality of care and implement program changes upon approval.
Plan, assign and review work of staff within assigned unit to ensure that group objectives are met.
Hire, train, develop and manage staff to ensure that a qualified staff exists to meet group objectives.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or related accredited, Health Administration Program required.
Strong interpersonal, management and communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years previous healthcare related experience preferred.
