Position Information: Using expert-level knowledge, education, and experience with student development and department management, provides direction and strategic vision for guiding the program and service development of the Middle Eastern Student Center. Collects and analyzes student data to inform decisions about resource allocation in support of departmental activity. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with faculty and community in support of the student experience.
The salary range for the Director, Middle Eastern Student Center is $64,300 - $114,300.00 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $85,632 annually. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position.

As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California Vaccination Program Policy.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Master's degree. Preferred

Advanced knowledge of Student Affairs/Student Life specialization.
Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving, identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance.
Advanced abilities in project management, problem identification and reasoning skills.
Advanced ability to develop original ideas to solve problems.
Advanced knowledge of issues related to Middle Eastern Students' success in higher education
Skill and Competence in organizational assessment, program evaluation, strategic planning, and departmental goal setting in higher education
Advanced ability in developing and responsibly managing departmental resources to effectively respond to students' needs and concerns within the scope of the departmental and divisional mission.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
Advanced knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences.
