Position Information: In anticipation of receiving the DARPA award, the Project Manager is needed to start planning and coordinating. This is a highly complex award that will require much administrative and coordinating to ensure it gets off to an efficient start. The candidate will be tasked with project reports, develops strategies for education and public outreach, oversees logistics of project related tasks, directs and ensures complete and accurate collection of research management data at all stages of the contract and grant life cycle, etc.
The full salary range for the Program Coordinator is $71,100 to $128,700 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Requirements: Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Experience Requirements
4 - 7 years of related experience. Required
Experience in coordinating multi-year research projects with multiple sub-awards Required
Experience with organizing and implementing special events and working in higher education Required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in research project management Preferred

Minimum Requirements
Thorough knowledge of financial analysis and reporting techniques, and/or human resources policies and procedures for staff and academic employees.
Knowledge of a variety of administrative operations activities such as events planning, basic fundraising processes, risk management planning, website design, accounting and payroll, and contracts and grants regulations and guidelines.
Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills.
Strong skills in short term planning, analysis and problem-solving and customer service.
Strong writing skills in a variety of styles to draft persuasive text for a variety of audiences while ensuring adherence to funding sponsor's guidelines. Exceptional writing and editing skills for both specialized and non-specialized audiences.
Knowledge and skills to advise and consult with PIs and team members to ensure delivery of the desired message to the target audiences.
Expert knowledge of graphic design and creation of presentation materials.
Preferred Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of University rules and regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting and fund management, and/or personnel management.
Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs. Advanced knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.
Ability to maintain independent judgement; strong organization and communication skills; and a customer service focus across broad and diverse subject areas.
