Position Information: The Wardrobe Supervisor assists the Costume Shop Manager in the construction of costumes and costume accessories for all theatrical productions and film/television projects for the Department of Theatre, Film, and Digital Production. They support and implement the technical and administrative needs required to efficiently execute the day-to-day operation of the costume shop. Additionally they lead the wardrobe crew in the running of all dress rehearsals and assist in the supervision of student workers and student lab activities. The Wardrobe Supervisor may supervise and assign student personnel to various phases of production in coordination with the Costume Shop Manager. They have a high working knowledge of costume construction, draping and pattern drafting, and exhibit a passion for the art of theatre and film. The Wardrobe Supervisor reports to the Costume Shop Manager and collaborates with production staff, faculty, and other campus constituents to achieve departmental goals. This is an 8-month limited position with a maximum of 950 work hours, beginning approximately mid-September and ending mid-May, working on campus.
The full salary range for the Wardrobe Supervisor is $22.95 - $27.19 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Requirements: Educational Requirements
Two years of college with a major in theater arts and one year of experience related to costume construction, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledges and abilities essential for the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position. Required

Skill in effectively meeting budget and time constraints.
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills to communicate complex instructions and information to disparate constituencies.
Mastery level knowledge of costume construction techniques.
Good problem recognition, avoidance and resolution skills.
Ability to solve challenging and unique problems quickly and effectively in high-pressure production environments.
Flexibility in work schedule to adjust for evening and/or weekend events as needed.
