Position SummaryThe CAO of the Department of European Languages and Transcultural Studies (ELTS) and the Digital Humanities program functions independently to support the teaching, research and public service mission of the department and the program. ELTS is comprised of the former individual departments of French and Francophone Studies, Germanic Languages, Italian and the Scandinavian Section. Digital Humanities is a free-standing minor but is expanding into a major and toward a department. Responsibilities of the CAO have a significant impact on every area of departmental activities, requiring an understanding of the academic and research objectives and workings of the differently structured units.
