Works effectively with both clients and internal teams to flawlessly deliver event programs that drive client results against established strategic objectives, timelines, and financial goals. The position is responsible for establishing event budgets and maintaining a viable business. Manage, hire event staff as needed.
Manage the execution of established and new events and conferences.
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
Prepare budgets and negotiate contracts in compliance with university standards.
Source opportunities for additional conference and event business.
Support the Assistant Vice President and Division in other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree from accredited four-year institution with five (5) or more years of coordination, or project or event management experience.
Five (5) or more years conference experience in higher education setting.
Three (3) or more years working knowledge of event management software such as CVENT and ACEware Student Manager registration system, including virtual event experience.
Solid computer experience.
Proficiency with office, Google docs, and Adobe products.
Budget and financial reporting ability.
Solid verbal and written communication skills.
Proven organization and time management skills.
Adept in project management and multi-tasking.
Self-starter, team player, detail and deadline oriented.
Interpersonal skills, marketing, and public relations skills.
