What Software Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health
Software Engineering is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting applications, systems and IT products required to achieve the company's business objectives.
Demonstrates knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces.
Demonstrates general understanding of hardware/software platforms including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers and integration technologies.
Plans and executes system implementations that ensure success and minimize risk of system outages or other negative production impacts.
Demonstrates conceptual knowledge of architecture standards and database and operating systems.
Demonstrates problem solving ability that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages.
Analyzes production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.
Application of technical knowledge and understanding of STEP PIM concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to support complex, large scale PIM implementation projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Anticipate, plan and deliver IT solutions that support enterprise strategic goals and enable increased business value
Provide viable solutions that are innovative and consistent with organization/business objectives
Demonstration of problem solving abilities that allows for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to, production outages.
Collaboration with business stakeholders and IT leaders during system requirements, design, development and implementation
Collaboration with cross-functional development teams through requirements, estimation, design, development, testing and delivery
Collaboration with Enterprise Architecture, Risk and Security and other Shared Service teams to ensure standards are met, systems are secure and proper controls are implemented
Self-motivated to remain relevant as it relates to advances in PIM solutions, specifically Stibo STEP
Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience preferred.
5+ years of experience with 1 or more MDM/PIM solutions preferred
5+ years of experience with Stibo STEP, preferably STEP Trailblazer v10 or higher highly preferred
3+ years of experience with business rule creation, Web-UI development, Integration Endpoint configurations, and Workflow configurations preferred
Experience in API and Micro Services development preferred
Experience in Cloud Platforms like AWS and GCP preferred
Experience in middleware technologies, preferably Apigee and/or Dell Boomi preferred
Experience in REST, Messaging Middleware (MQ, KAFKA, etc.), File and SFTP based integrations preferred
Experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating system and Web/Application servers preferred
Experience in Oracle Database preferred
Experience in RESTful Architecture and RESTful Web Services preferred
Experience in Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring RestTemplate, Spring Security preferred
Experience in user integration configuration with SAML, LDAP and SSO preferred
Experience in managing SSL Certificates preferred
Experience in Digital Asset Management preferred
Experience in Production Support and Incident Management preferred
Strong understanding of enterprise data modeling, specifically Product Data Modeling preferred
Strong understanding of SAP Product Master Data, a plus
STIBO certification, a plus
Additional Skills Required
Experience in delivering large-scale projects, with the ability to adapt to changing timelines and direction in a fast-moving environment
Ability to focus and drive results as a team player, as well as an individual contributor
Ability to work collaboratively with both onshore and offshore development teams
Must be willing to work with minimal direction from management
Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent written (documentation) and oral communication skills, in a role which will be regularly business facing
Anticipated salary range:$92,100.00 - $131,600.00
