Little is a diverse, international, trans-disciplinary design firm with offices in Charlotte, Charleston, Durham, Newport Beach, Orlando, and Washington DC, made up of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, landscape architects, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, VR/AR Animators, and Sustainability & Building Performance specialists.
The Collaborative Specialties Practice is unique amongst the other practices in our company in that it does not have a singular area of concentration or project type (e.g.: Workplace, Retail, etc.). Instead, the teams within the Collaborative Specialties Practice are intentionally diverse in order to increase the disruptive collaboration that leads to innovation. The successful candidate will have the ability to understand the unique needs of both creative and technical teams and be equally versed in advocating for both.
We are excited to invite interested candidates to submit qualifications for the Collaborative Specialties Practice Leader. Our Practice Leader collaborates with the Principals and Directors of our Collaborative Specialties Practice (CSP) to lead the CSP while working across our firm to support the Vision and Strategic Plan for the company and to continually elevate our work, service to clients and national reputation as innovators.
Currently, the teams within the practice are:
Advanced Building Technology (ABT): focused on Specifications, Quality Assurance, LEED/Well process management and decarbonization.
Brand Experience Studio (BXP): focuses on activating and developing brands, creating user experiences, strategy, and design.
Regen CoLab: the CoLab works directly with teams on projects and provides educational and administrative support to magnify regenerative impact on our projects for clients, communities, the environment and the economy.
Smart Building Studio (SBS): provides data intelligence through digital connections that make the built environment and its users smarter.
Visual Impact Studio (VIS): this studio focuses on creating immersive virtual worlds that help our firm, our clients and their stakeholders see & feel the envisioned future.
Ideal candidates will have demonstrated the ability and/or strong potential to provide leadership in multiple areas of responsibility:
Vision, Strategy & Execution
Develop annual strategic plans that foster synergies between the groups in the CSP that result in the growth of each of our CSP specialties into each of our offices while delivering valuable outcomes due to their unique combinations.
Collaborate with CSP leaders to crystallize an ambitious vision for the future growth of their studios and areas of expertise.
Identify areas of new specialties that would enhance our overall offering to clients and build these new service areas.
Innovation & Integrative Design
Embrace innovation through thought leadership and integration on projects with studios across the company.
Work with the CSP leaders and the leaders of all the Practice areas to ensure an integrative process with all of our projects.
Coach, support and empower our CSP leaders to enable them to elevate their own reputations for expertise and thought leadership.
Assist the other Practice Leaders to include our CSP skillsets as differentiators in pursuit of new projects.
Build relationships (internally & externally), develop leads, lead & assist pursuits and work with our leaders to develop business across our footprint, including local, regional, national and international clients.
