Position Location: Onsite - Crookston, MN
Advances the brand awareness and recruitment efforts of the UMN Crookston campus. Creates, implements, analyzes and evaluates content and materials for the advertising and promotion of the University, with a primary focus on enrollment management and reinforces the strategic marketing plans. Develops engaging and professional content for social media, video production, and strategic marketing initiatives. Works in close collaboration with enrollment management team, strategic marketing team, printing services, development and alumni relations to ensure recruitment and alumni/donor engagement are high priorities of communication and marketing efforts, as well as monitors progress and analyses success.
40% Graphic Design/Brand Management Create original, specialized promotion and design layouts, and reviews designs of others to ensure standards are met; Develop, design, monitor, and approve standards that comply with the University graphic standards and establish templates, logos, and other promotional and marketing materials for clients, with a primary focus on enrollment management efforts; Evaluates the impact of graphics utilized in department communications; designs and creates new graphics based on results.
20% Strategic Marketing/Advertising Support the director with the creation, management and monitoring of strategic marketing efforts of the University. Coordinate with advertising and media experts to improve marketing results. Provide expertise in analytics to aid in decision making for the purpose of strategic marketing, in close collaboration with the enrollment management and university relations team members. Lead communication cohort meetings.
15% Digital Content Designs and creates web and other digital marketing content to complement the overall marketing and promotional efforts of the University; creates and modifies images and copy/content. Work collaboratively with the creative team to generate new and innovative ideas and plans for the production of complementary materials for all creative platforms.
15% Social Media Design and implement social media strategy. Manage the University social media accounts and presence by developing a strategy, producing quality content, analyzing usage data, and managing projects and campaigns. Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily. Oversee social media accountsâ™ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout). Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions. Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
10% Video Content Create video content for promotion of the University to various audiences, and primarily enrollment management efforts.
Required Qualifications: BA/BS and two years of experience, or a combination of related education and work to equal at least six years.
