Job Description: What We Are Looking For Baylor University's George W. Truett Theological Seminary is seeking an organized and motivated candidate to serve as a full-time Project Manager for the Kyle Lake Center for Effective Preaching. This individual will manage a $1.25 Lilly Endowment grant, plan and execute the conferences and events of the Kyle Lake Center, and provide administrative support to the Center's director.
A bachelor's degree, three years of work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A master's degree, five years of work experience, Spanish language competency, and an active Christian faith are preferred.
Applications must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Oversee grant-related work including but not limited to budgeting, reporting, convening, writing, and securing new grants
Build professional relationships with Truett populations and constituencies including students, faculty, staff, pastors, and churches
Consult with the grant Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators to plan and execute the activities of the Compelling Preaching Initiative.
Organize meetings for Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators, budget tracking through Ignite, secure reimbursements, coordinate travel, manage budgets, and report to external funding agencies.
Plan and execute Kyle Lake Center's conferences, special initiatives, and sponsored events for Effective Preaching.
Promote events by marketing through mailings, social media posts, email, and other channels.
Coordinate hotel logistics for conference speakers, securing honoraria and reimbursements for conference speakers.
Recruit and host conference sponsors, executing logistics, service, and hospitality to conference attendees during events.
Provide indirect oversight to graduate assistants and student workers in consultation with the director of the Kyle Lake Center.
Communicate with graduate assistants and student workers in-person and in writing, delegating responsibilities to students during conferences and special events sponsored by the Kyle Lake Center, and coordinating student hours and schedules.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
Ability to comply with University policies.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
