The Highlights:
The Director of Strategic Projects is responsible for developing, managing, and overseeing the project plans for high-priority initiatives that drive operational excellence across DePaul University. This position requires a strategic thinker and an adept problem solver with exceptional project management skills, a collaborative mindset, and masterful executor. This role will help to shape the future of DePaul University through the execution of initiatives that deliver exceptional results.
What You'll Do:
Develops, maintains, and manages multiple large-scale projects simultaneously to drive operational excellence. Works with appropriate individuals and parties to ensure that project milestones are achieved. Meets deadlines and overall budget constraints.
Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the progress and success of strategic initiatives.
Develops project plans, presentations and reports relating to projects. Communicates statuses of projects to necessary individuals and/or groups. Ensures quality control.
Provides regular updates and reports on the status of ongoing initiatives.
Identifies potential risks and challenges associated with strategic initiatives and develops mitigation plans.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, management, strategy, etc.); MBA or advanced degree preferred.
3 - 5 years of proven experience in strategic planning and execution.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work in matrixed, cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
