Located in Sterling, Colorado, the Veterinary Medical Clinic team practices the highest quality medicine, values the personal and professional growth of all staff members, strives to never stop learning, and loves having fun every day.
A small animal hospital that is AHAA certified, we have served and elevated animal care in Northeast Colorado for over 45 years. We are a full-service veterinary hospital providing the following services to our great clients: complete in-house laboratory capabilities, digital radiographs, a fully equipped surgical suite (performing soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries), full dental services (ultrasonic equipment, digital x-ray, etc.), ultrasonography, endoscopy, cold therapy laser, Vetscan Imagyst, complete in-house pharmacy, and limited emergency service. Veterinary Responsibilities Include:
- Assessing patients, diagnosing their medical conditions, establishing treatment, and prescribing medication.
- Supervising diagnostic imaging
- Performing surgery, treating wounds, and prescribing medication.
- Promoting preventative care by advocating and administering routine vaccinations, and by educating clients on positive diet and lifestyle choices for pets.
- Improving patients’ dental health by performing checkups and extractions and supervision of cleaning under general anesthesia. .
Candidate will work collaboratively with our other veterinarians (typically at least 1 other veterinarian) to divide the above responsibilities by aptitude, interest, client request, and/or need. Our veterinarians possess a broad range of skills, presenting candidate ample opportunities for skill development. Our veterinarians our supported by a growing staff (currently 7, including 3 veterinary technicians).
Ideal candidate is competent and compassionate, with excellent client communication skills. Full-time compensation includes base salary with production bonus, and benefits including, paid vacation, continuing education, license and other dues paid, and SIMPLE IRA with 3% match (currently implementing). Potential availability of health insurance (currently pricing group plans) or corresponding salary offset. Work hours negotiable to balance work/life. Ownership potential.
Full Time Salary: $80,000 to $150,000
