Position Summary:
The Principal Gifts team within Medical Center Development is seeking a Project Manager to support the team in their engagement with top donors and friends with the capacity to make $10M or larger gifts to Stanford Medicine and Stanford Health Care. If you are an energetic and enthusiastic individual interested in joining a dynamic and hard-working team, a self-starter who takes initiative, likes to own projects, and is able to prioritize their work, this might be the job for you. With strong writing skills, you will pull together information from a wide variety of sources to provide data analysis, compile reports, and prepare presentations. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Principal Gifts, you will develop a strong understanding of Stanford Medicine's top needs and priorities and be able to articulate them in writing for a variety of purposes including, but not limited to, briefings, proposals, acknowledgments, PowerPoint presentations, and other communication materials. As the Project Manager, you will assist at least two gift officers with portfolio management and prospect sourcing.
In this role, you will also have the opportunity to support the fundraising efforts of the Innovative Medicines Accelerator - one of Stanford Medicine's top priorities as well as a university priority. You will have the opportunity to work with gift officers throughout MCD and the university, as well as faculty and staff, to assist in establishing and maintaining close relationships with all university constituencies.
Your primary responsibilities include:
Draft and help prepare polished materials, including detailed donor visit briefings for senior leadership, proposals, background documents, and presentation materials.
Synthesize complex data into reports and executive summaries. Strong abilities in Excel, Google Sheets, and database management preferred.
Research new principal gift-level prospects and project manage existing pipeline. This includes retrieving and synthesizing donor and prospect information, generating reports and updating records, informing strategies and cultivation for prospects and initiatives, and ensuring strategies are moved forward effectively.

To be successful in this position, you will bring:
Bachelor's degree and three years relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of people and both internal and external constituents.
Ability to work efficiently, juggle tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and achieve goals.
Demonstrated experience in the management of projects, including project initiating, planning, scheduling, and tracking.
Experience with analyzing data and content and communicating/presenting results and recommendations succinctly to key stakeholders.
Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
A growth mindset and willingness to contribute to a positive and optimistic working environment.
An eagerness to build comprehensive knowledge of Stanford Medicine and thrive in a mission-driven, dedicated, and collaborative office environment.

The expected pay range for this position is $64,480 to $120,000 per annum.
