About the Opportunity
Northeastern University's Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program is a two-year fellowship designed to advance the education and training of Pharm.D. graduates in various areas of industry pharmacy including regulatory affairs, medical information/affairs, patient safety, outcomes research, and many other areas. The program is a collaboration between Northeastern University and biopharmaceutical industry partners.
Our program provides a dynamic academic environment offering fellows the opportunity for a wide breadth of experiences:
Develop teaching skills through participation in our Teaching and Learning Seminar series
Facilitate small and large group didactic education in partnership with a faculty mentor
Create, present, and publish scholarly research through collaborative industry and university relationships
Engage with faculty who participate in various interdisciplinary
Network with area residents and other Northeastern fellows via professional development programs, teaching seminars, and participation on fellowship committees
GSK Oncology works with a sense of urgency to deliver medicines and programs and expand our pipeline of products with the promise for the future. Our goal is for people with cancer to not only live, but to live well, as a result of our medicines. GSK's approach to oncology is focused on novel research in the areas of immuno-oncology, tumor cell targeting, and synthetic lethality. Coupled with extensive mentorship opportunities provided by the GSK Oncology Global Scientific Communications Fellowship Program, the fellow will work in conjunction with the Global Medical Affairs team to help support this mission and vision.
The Pharmacy Postdoctoral Fellow, in partnership with Northeastern University, will join the Global Oncology Scientific Communications team for a two-year commitment, where they will be immersed in all Global Medical Affairs activities. The focus of the fellowship will be in Global Scientific Communications with an initial three-month rotation with the Global Scientific Communications team. The fellow will then participate in three consecutive rotations in various Global Medical Affairs functions for a duration of three months per rotation, while continuing to support the Global Scientific Communications team with 30% of their capacity. GSK Oncology offers an array of Global Medical Affairs rotations, including, but not limited to: Oncology Program Strategy (working with Global Medical Affairs Leads or Medical/Scientific Directors), Patient-Focused Development, Global Medical Information, Publications, Managed Access Programs and Research. Additionally, the fellow has the opportunity to learn about various industry functions such as Value Evidence & Outcomes, Clinical Development, or the Commercial Organization through longitudinal projects. Rotations may be extended at the discretion of the rotation supervisor. The remaining one year of the fellowship will be fully dedicated to Global Scientific Communications activities.

Global Scientific Communications:
Example Job Responsibilities, includes but are not limited to:
Contribute to overall Global Medical Training plan, including oversight and delivery of internal training materials for MSL/Medical affairs use
Create core Global Medical Materials and tools for internal and external communication (e.g. trial in progress decks and Medical/Pipeline congress training materials)
Contribute to externally facing meetings such as GSK-led Medical Education activities, satellite symposia, and investigator broadcasts
Plan and execute quarterly cross-functional Medical Communications Workshops to ensure alignment on Scientific Communications and Publications strategy and tactics
Plan and execute cross-functional Scientific Platform Working Group sessions to ensure alignment on interpretations of individual datasets/collections of data and flawless integration of new datasets into asset Scientific Platforms
Participate in the overall strategy, medical training, and execution for oncology medical conferences/congresses
Develop digital and omnichannel external-facing tools to foster personalized scientific exchange with HCPs and ensure a seamless customer experience
Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited institution, eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Massachusetts.
Excellent oral and written communication, time management, and leadership skills, ability to work independently and take initiative on a variety of projects at the industry site and Northeastern.
