Position: Associate/Full Professor, Tenure-track.
Location: Ithaca, NY, USA. The academic home for this position is the Department of Biological and Environmental Engineering in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), housed on the Ithaca campus of Cornell University.
Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is looking to hire a visionary and strategic leader in transdisciplinary research, convergence thinking, and innovation in food, agriculture and life sciences. The position is an initiative to leverage our existing strengths and transdisciplinary leadership in solution-based science. We seek an individual whose work explicitly addresses ongoing challenges that can be solved through digital agriculture, and who possesses a forward-thinking approach to integrating engineering, technology, biology, and agricultural sciences.
Position Description and Responsibilities:
Outstanding research scholarship is expected, as is excellence in and commitment to teaching, translation of knowledge, and advising and mentoring of students. Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in a related field. An engineering degree is preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a research program and a teaching curriculum in ways that leverage existing department strengths while building unique and collaborative opportunities and programs.
CALS hiring range for this position is:
Associate Professor: $97,500 - $148,500
Professor: $109,500 - $250,000
Cornell University offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Support for start-up costs will be available. Salary is commensurate with experience.
