THISPOSITION IS GRANTFUNDED. EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENTUPONCONTINUEDFUNDINGFROMGRANTPROVIDERS. The position is located in Athens, Ohio. Hybrid remote options will be considered. The Management Services Coordinator will provide management services for projects and programs funded by SBDC and APEX grants and contracts, and other sources of project funds. These programs are linked to the School's mission to provide transformative applied learning opportunities to students and to execute projects related to entrepreneurship and competitiveness in the southern Ohio region and throughout much of the State of Ohio. Primary responsibilities include: · Execute daily management services and grant administration duties for assigned funded projects. Examples of daily activities include management of event social media campaigns, tracking of program events in accordance with program guidelines, ordering of supplies, invoice and expense processing, etc. Provide oversight to the project(s) students (if applicable). Monitor/contribute to the coordination of communication activities of programs/projects. This includes collaboration with program staff who are engaged in client assistance and outreach activities in the region and communicating with key stakeholders both internal and external. Ensure all assigned work plans are being executed as described in contracts and ensure all deliverable deadlines are met on time for projects. · Develop and maintain programmatic documentation. Provide regular reports and other documentation to the Director(s) and project sponsors. (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, and as appropriate/as required). Provide quality control functions for all deliverables for all assigned projects prior to their submission funders. · Participate in the development and execution of overall program strategy with the group leaders and group members as well as other leaders and staff. Interface with local, regional and state stakeholders. Serve as an external and internal liaison and with program officers and officials associated with the projects. Work with project sponsors to meet project objectives. Facilitate collaborations with any/all other appropriate entities related to the projects as required/as necessary to achieve program goals. Facilitate and coordinate personal, group and online communication between project partners and sponsors. Identify best practices and successful implementation strategies and develop strategies for dissemination of the information to create an informed populace. Ability to manage program events to collect registration, ensure tracking and reporting in accordance with grant guidelines, and communication with event registrants. Requires strong writing skills and management related to social media campaigns communicating information about program activities. Candidate must be highly self-motivated and able to work collaboratively within multiple project teams as well as work independently. The ideal candidate must have a high attention to detail and should have the ability to draw information from multiple sources to identify potential solutions for identified issues; skills in collecting data for tracking and reporting of project outcomes; ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives to accomplish project goals; ability to establish and maintain collegial relationships with senior management, co-workers, project sponsors; ability to accurately communicate verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences. Access to reliable internet to support remote work when needed. Ability to travel is required; understanding of and be able to travel, most often locally or within the state of Ohio; may occasionally be asked to travel out of state to staff college events or national conferences. Ability to use Microsoft Office products.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social sciences, Business, Research, Public Administration, Education, or related degree or equivalent management experience and at least one year of work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience is required. An associate degree and 3 years of experience will be an acceptable substitute for the bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three or more years of experience working within either the public or private sector. Previous project management experience, previous stakeholder management, previous experience in and knowledge of SBDC, APEX, and/or other economic development programs and rural development/rural policy would be a strong asset to this position and is also preferred.
