Job Description Summary
This role will report into the Director â“ Building Consulting. This role will currently have Nil direct reports. Cushman & Wakefield Building Consultancy (BC) team provide technical building and engineering advice to property owners and occupiers throughout the SEA Region. We primarily advise clients on the condition, compliance, risk, function and performance of their buildings and assets and provide associated life cycle cost advice. In conjunction with our Project and Program Management teams, we provide management services to deliver capital replacement, refurbishment, maintenance and/or repair works. Our Services include: â¢Technical Due Diligence; â¢Building Condition Audits; â¢Asset Registers; â¢Make Good Assessments; â¢Property Insurance Assessments; â¢Project Cost Assessments; â¢Strategic Asset Management Plans; â¢Capital and Operational Expenditure Planning; â¢Planned Maintenance Management Plans; and â¢Project scoping and management of Building refurbishment, upgrades and repair works; Overview of Market Sectors: Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Aged Care, Education, Mining, Health, Hospitality, Agribusiness and Defence. This role is responsible for: ** Undertaking building inspections throughout Malaysia and SEA region. ** Providing technical advice and associated high-standard reporting on building and asset condition, compliance, risk, function, performance and cost. ** Providing technical building scope of work documents for rectification and/or replacement activities including managing the project from commencement to final completion. ** Providing guidance and support to other staff within the team.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Assist the senior management team with process improvement and innovation.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â HSSE implementation.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Undertake building and asset inspections and prepare technical reports relating to the provided scope of works. As our team operates on a national basis, regular travel within Malaysia is a specific requirement to undertake inspections.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Prepare scope of work reports relating to building repairs, maintenance or replacement.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Manage repair, replacement or maintenance projects.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Document and publish all lessons learned across projects / programs managed.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Assist with preparation of business development submissions.
Engaging with account leaders and client stakeholders to understand stakeholder requirements and priorities.
Performing condition reporting and asset lifecycle modelling to develop maintenance, repair and capital expenditure forecasts.
Producing annual and longer-term asset capital works plans and project plans.
Conducting asset data collection activities, at times through vendor engagement.
Managing delivery of inspection programs through governance of process and training and management of inspection resources and/or directly conducting asset condition audits through site inspections.
Ensure all service deliverables are fully aligned with contract scope and stakeholder expectations.
Provide leadership and direction to the project team as required.
Ensure that internal and external reporting is conducted in accordance with published timetables and that the content is accurate and presented in an articulate and clear format.

Assist the Manager and Consultancy Team to work within the agreed budget.
Provide required accurate cost forecasts to facilitate financial planning and budgeting.
Asset maintenance is appropriately compliant with statutory standards and industry best practice.
Contribute to the development and continual improvement of C&W process and procedures.
Time utilisation of over 80% achieved.
Successful completion of projects on time, within budget and to all required deliverables.
Progress towards achievement of half yearly and yearly management goals.

Development of operational standards / playbooks / operating manuals for all aspects of the client workplace.
Circa 7 to 10 years property / construction industry experience.
Experience and knowledge of all building elements including a broad understanding of building services.
Circa 3 to 5 yearsâ™ experience in a similar role providing consultancy services.
Degree level qualification in building surveying, asset engineering, building engineering, architecture or equivalent construction related degree.
Achieved industry recognised professional qualification, such as RICS, PMI, CIOB, EA or similar.
Industry specific training in contracts and procurement processes.
Able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
Able to identify priorities and achieve key client outcomes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative nature.
