Responsible for collaborating with stakeholders in designing, prototyping, and evaluating highly scalable solutions. The Solution Architect will design, evaluate, and prototype solutions across multiple domains, including business, data, application, infrastructure, and security, towards the achievement of business outcomes. Works with the Enterprise Architect to provide leadership towards establishing technology standards and governance.
Collaborates with a variety of diverse teams (IT and Business) to update existing systems and introduce strategic innovations focused on both current and long-term strategies. Reach technology solution design options and technology choices through written recommendations that elaborate a rationale through analysis & collaboration.
Develop solution roadmaps, target state solution architectures, document design approaches with the delivery of specifications and working prototypes.
Provides technical direction to application and project teams to ensure IT solutions are designed, built, and implemented in accordance with sound architectural principles that address the business needs driving strategic systems.
Provides leadership in the direction of technical development standards and governance.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of documentation pertaining to IT standards and governance.
Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and five years experience or an equivalent combination of post high school education and experience.
Preferred
Experience with public cloud technology (AWS and Azure).
