Anderson University (South Carolina) and the College of Arts and Sciences invite applications for a full-time, nine-month position in Mathematics with a start date of August 2024. An earned doctorate in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required; ABDs will be considered. Experience teaching at the undergraduate level is preferred. Screening will begin immediately and continue until the job is filled. Faculty rank and status will be determined at the time of appointment based upon the degrees, experience, and record of scholarship.
We seek candidates whose scholarship and experience entail an ability to teach undergraduate students in classes such as Abstract Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Probability and Statistical Theory and Methods, Real Analysis, and Linear Algebra. Ideal candidates will also be able to teach general mathematics classes such as Calculus and mentor undergraduate students through academic advising and supervising research projects. Mathematics faculty maintain a teaching load of 24 credit hours per academic year, supervise undergraduate research projects, and advise.
