The University of South Alabama, a NCAA Division I institution, charter member of the Sun Belt Conference and located on the Gulf Coast in Mobile, Alabama, is seeking applicants for the position of Associate Athletic Director - Revenue Generation.
This leadership position is responsible for coordinating all departmental efforts related to revenue generation through comprehensive sports marketing packages with corporate partners. Leading the Jaguar Sports Properties team, this position will oversee corporate sales and activations providing partners with traditional, digital, and other non-traditional media opportunities to bolster their own brand and garner maximum exposure through inventory such as venue signage, digital engagement, and radio broadcasts.
Essential Job Functions: •Determines University’s fit within the primary business market and develops, implements, and reviews strategic business plans and sales strategies designed to maximize revenue generating opportunities. •Develops creative, sellable inventory to attract new business and retain existing partners. •Delivers on individual and team revenue goals through the selling of integrated marketing packages using traditional, digital, and other non-traditional marketing channels to meet client’s objectives. •Develops and maintains strong, lasting relationships with both current and potential corporate partners. •Develops strong relationships within the department and ensures that the sales team leverages internal support groups (e.g., ticket sales, fan engagement, etc) in order to drive sales. •Collaborates with vendors, sponsors, departmental staff, and other appropriate University personnel to ensure activation of sponsorships and contract fulfillment. •Manages the Jaguar Sports Properties budget. •Recruits, manages, and trains all Jaguar Sports Properties staff. •Ensures compliance with all applicable NCAA, Sun Belt Conference, and University rules and regulations. •Prompt and regular attendance required. •Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary. •Other duties as assigned by the Deputy AD and/or Director of Athletics.
