Graphics Manager, the Graphics Assistant is responsible for producing graphic design projects for all Associated Students Departments/Programs and will also assist with the design and regular maintenance of the A.S. website.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Functions
Responsible for completing a variety of design projects including, but not limited to: flyers, posters, annual reports, t-shirt designs, banners, social media images, digital screen images, forms and brochures
Responsible for initial designs of new and revised A.S. websites (no coding, only design development)
Responsible for preparing graphics files for a variety of print vendors
May at times assist with the maintenance of A.S. websites, as needed
May at times assist with the production of print and online advertisments for The Daily Aztec, as needed
Customer Service and Collaboration
Establishes and maintains working relationships with various A.S. departments and programs
Safety
Ensures all operations are conducted with safety of staff and customers as first priority, and in accordance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and other safety policies
Adheres to Associated Students' Code of Safe Practices
Reports accidents to supervisor and reviews changes required to avoid reoccurrence Ensures completion proper documentation is completed for each accident (employee and/or non-employee) and forwards to supervisor
Reports maintenance problems and/or broken and unsafe equipment to the appropriate party immediately
Must be currently enrolled at San Diego State University, taking a minimum of 6 units
Must be an SDSU Graphic Design major
Experience:
Graphic Design training and/or experience required
Web design training and/or experience desirable
Trainings to complete within 30 days of hire:

Ability to learn and utilize new software programs
SCHEDULE & WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a part-time (20 hours per week), position with expected hours to be worked in the A.S. Graphics Office during business hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
