ROLE DESCRIPTON: This role is 49% Procurement Compliance Program Leader and 51% Continuous Improvement Specialist.
PROCUREMENT COMPLIANCE PROGRAM LEADER: McKesson's Spend Smart/Buy Smart policy and Outside Service Worker policy supports Sourcing and Procurement (S&P) mandate to have proper financial controls in the procurement of Indirect goods and services. The policies define the buying channels (methods) that are prescriptive and the ones that are prohibited. Overall, the programs will ensure that purchase orders, invoice remittance and other transactions are handled in a transparent, timely and cost-effective manner.
The Procurement compliance program leader coordinates across all elements of the program including exception management to ensure smooth operations, continuity, and consistency of application. The Compliance program leader will look for ways to streamline and otherwise improve the customer experience while maintaining the spirit of the policies. It is expected that the Procurement compliance program leader will also ensure delivery of high quality executive "white glove" service.
The Procurement Compliance program leader is responsible for oversight of the primary tenets listed below (some not all):
* All transactions must have purchase orders in Guided Buying
* Purchase orders must pre-date the invoice date (no after-the-fact purchase orders)
* All outside service workers engagements must be pre-contracted in VMS
* P-card purchases may not be used for Suppliers in Guided Buying
* P-card purchases are to be used only for Suppliers with annual spend <$5,000
* Outside service worker term limits
CONTINOUS IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST: Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of continuous projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the improvement of processes to support improved internal customer and employee experiences. Provides a single point of contact for projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project which may include customers, client services and various departments (e.g. sourcing, financial shared services, etc.). Defines project scope and objectives.
Oversees/coordinates all aspects of project and serves as project manager between clients, line management and internal and external resources.Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on all matters. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client- satisfaction goals. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks, and tracks andreviews vendor deliverables. May provide project management guidance to project team. Recommends/takes action to direct the analysis of and solution to problems.

EDUCATION
* 4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience

CRITICAL SKILLS:
3 - 5 years project management experience leading a variety of projects (size, complexity, etc.)

In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
Our Base Pay Range for this position
$77,500 - $129,100
