This person will lead and manage the university warehouse operations which include, but not limited to, warehousing and distribution, and resulting in limited storage costs and improved accuracy of customer service.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree in a business related discipline is preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
Required Experience
2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in people management, warehouse management, operations and leadership.
Primary Duties/Essential Functions
Lead, coordinate and evaluate customer service, inventory control, and warehousing, in support of APU storage and redistribution of multiple commodities.
Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database. Analyze inventories and enforce policies in order to reduce waste and provide cost savings to university.
Coordinates and schedules distribution process of items from warehouse to APU campus. Collaborate with current or potential shareholders in the storing and distribution of items, utilizing TMA inventory control and work order requests.
Understand customer’s needs, service those needs, and maintain and develop positive business relationships with customer’s key personal involved in or directly related to supply chain activities.
Evaluate best work place practices in customer service. Ensure student staff is trained and resourced in furniture installations or relocations, ergonomic installations, faculty/staff relocations and classroom care.
Develop, use and maintain analytics using TMA, PeopleSoft and other software for inventory control, procurement and work requests, providing system reports to direct report.
Monitor and analyze current trends in the marketplace as relates to Higher Education classrooms/offices and make recommendations that would benefit APU. Attends related conferences/seminars
Maintain inventory control and storage of facilities operations’ critical part items not deemed necessary for local storage (i.e., Maintenance, Landscape, Custodial, and Transportation store item parts)
Monitor key performance indicators within department, including ongoing performance, and improve performance against set goals.
Coordinates all approved Space needs moves and works with departments to complete the move and obtains bids on larger moves as needed.
Collaborates with University Relations in the printing and distribution of University letterhead
Monitors all classrooms ensuring furniture standards are kept, and proper seating levels maintained
Prepares work schedules based on staffing estimates and maintains Kronos time keeping records.
Oversees department budget for accuracy, budget allowance and appropriateness of department expenditures.
Responsible for reconciliation of department credit card.
Prepares policy and procedure manuals and trainings.
Regular, punctual attendance as required by the supervisor based on department needs.
Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Grade 9: $23.58 - $27.11 is the hourly compensation for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, APU offers a competitive benefits package.
