Assists with coordination efforts for the department and community involvement efforts by researching and evaluating trends, programs, and data. Prepares grants and documentation necessary for compliance with Federal and State requirements to assist campus/community partners.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Supervises employees; evaluates staffing needs; assigns and reviews work; establishes timeframes for the completion of tasks; trains and orients new employees; approves and/or disapproves requests for leaves; interviews candidates for employment and recommends for hire; evaluates work performance; receives and responds to grievances; provides assistance with the development of unit work procedures and policies; recommends and provides staff development opportunities.
Contributes input and completes tasks to ensure OCE sustainability. Attends meetings in the community and across campus to communicate services of the department. Writes grants with campus/community partners.
Provides professional development training geared towards the needs of the community; researches new technology and training designed to support the OCE and community engagement; remains current on industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
Prepares and ensures data compilation for dissemination and/or distribution in the community; compiles and enters data into state database programs in accordance with State and Federal requirements.
Prepares documentation required for grant compliance measures for State and Federal Compliance; gathers and prepares documentation; uploads the requisite information and documents to software specific program(s), website, and/or by other electronic means to verify requirements are met; offers support and direction to grant programs. Meets with community partners to ensure grant program is effective and aligned with goals and objectives.
Identifies and interprets trends; prepares analyses; interprets and verifies accuracy of data submitted; assists in planning and informed decision making for program evaluation; provides guidance to support staff in program implementation; establishes and maintains practices which improve reliability of data and information.
Serves as PI or Co-PI for activities and projects. Oversees project/program components, including, but not limited to financial management and supervision of project/program personnel. Ensures compliance with Federal reporting in accordance with established guidelines; collects data; provides and maintains appropriate documentation for Federal reporting requirements.
Meets regularly with supervisor to provide progress reports and feedback on project analysis and planning future program development; completes written progress reports per grant requirements; participates with members of project teams to develop proposals for further funding of evaluation projects.
Manages and conducts process evaluation; meets with community partners in conducting evaluations to assure program quality; works in community to build relationships and communicates to the public the skills and/or services provided by department.
Oversees outcome evaluation of departmental grants and projects; collects pre- and post-program data for adult and youth participants; enters program evaluation data; analyzes program data and conducts statistical analysis; prepares reports for funding agencies.
Provides technical assistance with community-wide needs assessments.
Creates databases to monitor and track necessary data.
Assists supervisor with various community related projects.
Assists with Community Engagement Conference and related activities. Develops and organizes multiple events to engage university community and community at large.
Attends national and state meetings and conferences geared toward subject matter related to ongoing projects.

Minimum Qualifications: At least bachelor's degree; three or more years of experience conducting process and outcome evaluation and computer-based analysis; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and statistical analysis. Previous experience with grant and program implementation.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in education, health and human services administration, criminal Justice. Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation in K-12, community college, four-year university, and non-traditional education settings. Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation designs, data collection, analyses, and results dissemination. Higher education experience preferred.
