Under the primary direction of the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Operations and Student Services for Enrollment Management, the Director of Enrollment Systems supports both the undergraduate and graduate admission teams, contributing expertise and guidance in the formulation and execution of data-oriented recruitment strategies for undergraduate programs and admissions operation for undergraduate and graduate programs. Using independent judgement and the ability to make decisions, the director will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the department, supervising a team, leading the documentation of business processes, and project management. The director will provide leadership and oversight of the strategic direction enrollment office systems for Ellucian's Banner and Technolutions Slate, providing strategy, implementation, development of enrollment systems, sets policies and enforces standards for data collection and integrity, ensures that each office is maximizing its use of the systems, creates and ensures efficient and paperless processes and consistently explores opportunities to gain efficiency, automate and improve upon current processes.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the University’s CRM (Slate) and ERP (Banner), including, but not limited to, supervising the purchase of leads, creation of inquiry forms, data uploads, consolidating records, and integration with Banner through Axiom. Develop and maintain department assets such as queries, workflows, Standard Operating Procedures, operations calendar, etc.
Supervises, provides technical training, mentorship and feedback to Enrollment Systems and Operations staff.
Prioritize tasks and manage team projects. Create an inclusive and collaborative team-oriented environment.
Direct and oversee cycle preparations, such as applications, reader workflows, online deposits, and creating and assigning security classes and rules.
Collaborate with the team to evaluate and develop improvements for automating processes including assessing and coordinating impacts, testing, implementation, and documentation.
Continuously innovate the ways in which we use Slate by staying updated on new releases and best practices. Regularly attend conferences, webinars, workshops, etc.
Streamline and maintain overall efficiency in processing and enrollment systems to ensure business practices and policies align with department and School goals.
Lead development and updating of internal policies and procedures to enhance and promote enrollment yield and student retention and ensure compliance with university, state, and federal guidelines.
Manage system documentation, upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting.
Assist in analyzing business practices and process flows by establishing policies and adhering to these policies, utilizing systems to their maximum advantage to streamline and improve internal processes, reviewing and monitoring data collection and integrity within systems, and use advanced reporting functions to verify enrollment data and provide recurring and ad hoc reports for various internal and external constituents.
Manage the Enrollment Management ticketing request system, as well as researching and coordinating a timeline for creating, testing and implementing new functionality within the CRM as well as training.
Ensure high levels of customer service internally and externally. Review and evaluate special cases/populations.
Functions as the data steward to ensure data integrity, accreditation standards, privacy laws and best practices for Banner (Admissions and Financial Aid), COGNOS (Admissions and Financial Aid) and Slate by granting security access, performing yearly security audits, educating staff about PII and serving as the team lead for Student (Undergraduate, Graduate and International Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar and Law Registrar) Banner upgrades.
Foster new relationships as needed for streamlined processes for admission and enrollment. Collaborate with colleagues in Information Technology to ensure the data integrity of Slate and the interface with the University’s enterprise planning system (EPS), Banner. Serve as the data liaison to third-party vendors. Responsible for compliance standards when data is shared with third party vendors.
Participates in professional development and performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Attends admissions recruitment events (e.g., DUQ Day, Fall Open House, etc.).
Supervises work of others, including planning, assigning and scheduling work, reviewing work and ensuring quality standards, training staff and overseeing their productivity. May offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments, but does not have responsibility for making these decisions.
Completes other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or closely related field from an accredited institution and 3-5 years job related experience.
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Public Policy or closely related field from an accredited institution.
Experience in the field with demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of system implementations may substitute preferred education.
Slate CRM experience, Data integration experience, Ellucian Banner student system experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Power Point).
Post-secondary education experience.
