Departmental Overview
CITRIS is a four-campus institute comprising the Berkeley, Davis, Santa Cruz, and Merced campuses of the University of California. In addition to the Colleges of Engineering on these campuses, numerous other academic departments (e.g., UC Davis Medical Center, The UC Berkeley Schools of Information and Public Health, the Haas School of Business, UC Santa Cruz's Engineering and Center for Sustainable Energy and Power Systems, UC Merced's Healthcare Services and Research Institute and many others) are involved in the research at CITRIS.
CITRIS Health is a CITRIS initiative that brings researchers, technologists and innovators together to discover new ways technology can improve health and quality of life - today and into the future.
CITRIS Health has several ongoing and new projects as well as collaborations in the rapidly expanding digital and telehealth sphere and requires a Project Analyst to help administer and manage them and provide project and policy analysis and support.
This is a 1-year contract position with the possibility of extension and/or conversion to career.

Responsibilities
Monitors timelines, budgets and deliverables for projects; identify issues meeting these requirements well in advance of deadlines. Conducts complex data analysis of project outcomes. Applies professional concepts to monitor deadlines, budgets and deliverables related to moderately complex projects, policies and/or processes and functions.
Manage project-related communications for scientific directors, including analyzing, drafting and/or curating content for reports and presentations. Manage collection and presentation of metrics including creating graphs and other project presentations for a wide audience.
Gathers and assembles analytical and factual data on assigned problems and issues to prepare reports and / or analyses summarizing information on the assigned issues and commenting on their significance for internal or external constituents on CITRIS Health projects.
Using subject matter knowledge, collects and prepares information for use in discussion, meeting of high-level management and external constituents. Prepares, edits and modifies documents including research reports, manuscripts, presentations and proposals.
Manages CITRIS Health website including developing content, uploading content and monitoring web activity.
Coordinates team members and prepares meeting documents and agendas for CITRIS Health meetings, specifically:
Manage relationships with leadership and research team members and community, gathering data from team members and other sources for research projects;
Coordinate meeting logistics for the research project.
Provides assistance and oversight with subawards/other agreements, including compiling required documentation, drafting scopes of work, monitoring sub-awards, including payments/invoicing and ensuring adherence to regulations/processes, human subject protocols, and reporting requirements.
Coordinate periodic research-related events, including requests for presentations, track team presentations and articles.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail.
Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding time frames.
Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.
Experience developing content for, engaging with, and tracking social media.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Canva, WordPress, google analytics.

Under California law, the University of California, Berkeley is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
The budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $28.30 to $35.00 hourly. This is a 100% FTE contract position eligible for benefits.
