This dynamic leadership role will be responsible for establishing appropriate and effective program management infrastructure, governance, and practices for moderate to sophisticated Human Resources projects and initiatives! The role will partner with HR leadership in the selection and execution of projects to align with department and organization strategic vision and objectives. They will lead all aspects program management, guiding and training team members on critical aspects of a project management office. Establish impactful standards for process and output quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide vision and leadership to project teams responsible for the delivery of HR projects that are often sophisticated, cross-organizational initiatives in support of strategic objectives. Ensure global and regional considerations are considered and incorporated in upfront and initial plans. Engage appropriate stakeholders. Ensure that all projects are managed within the company's project delivery framework and utilize company/industry-standard project management methodologies and tools. Maintain the financial gating process to ensure value delivered for selected projects. Generate and implement new concepts, project processes, services, or methods.
Develop and apply strong working relationships to ensure detailed and effective management of assigned project initiative(s). Work closely with HR leadership, business partners, GCO, finance, as appropriate, vendors, technology, and project management staff to develop the project agenda and ensure agreement/adoption of project objectives/deliverables by all affected constituencies. Provide thought leadership in areas of project management, business transformation, innovation, and change management.
Provide advice and counsel to the HR Leadership Team on identifying strategic opportunities, initiating projects, influencing project priority and project execution to align with the business strategy. Partner with HR colleagues to drive vital adoption of new HR products and services.
Provide effective people leadership through mentorship, feedback, and sound performance management practices. Act as champion for the team and intervene on matters that build roadblocks to individual or organizational success. Set department initiatives and aligns and sets individual performance goals. Accountable for leading project resources (who may not be direct reports) in a manner that ensures timely delivery on commitments/tasks in support of broader project deliverables.
Facilitate HR project agenda optimization by ensuring business case credibility, facilitating the investment optimization agenda planning process and providing thought leadership on the constraints, costs, and implementation strategies to provide optimal execution. Work with partners to craft the use of tools and methodologies such as AQMS, Microsoft Project, Visio, Jira and PowerPoint. Lead to ensure that all policies and procedures are adopted and successful in the Project Management Office.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
10+ Years proven PMO experience!
Expertise in applying industry-standard project management methodologies and tools that incorporates Capability Maturity Model (CMMi) methods.
Adept at standard office and project management applications such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Jira.
Proven experience in leading large-scale project initiatives to successful completion and implementation.
Positive relationship building skills; highly effective communication skills that include ability to gain acceptance of others to a point of view.
Ability to identify and resolve/mitigate issues or risks associated with projects.
Has worked in a global, sophisticated, relationship driven organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading Human Resources activity associated with a merger, acquisition, or divestiture.
