Under the direction of the Associate Director, Capital Planning, this position is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the campus capital improvement program. Responsibilities include reporting, planning, analysis, and fiscal oversight for major and minor capital improvement projects and deferred maintenance. This position works closely with the capital planning team and the campus community to understand the needs for capital investments and manage the implementation of capital plans.
Assists the campus in the preparation of the Capital Financial Plan to identify investments needed to (1) accommodate campus growth, (2) sustain current capital assets, and (3) sustain and expand campus infrastructure. Provides analysis, information, and recommendations to the Associate Director and Director for capital projects with an emphasis on process management and development of project approval documentation.
Collaborates to maintain tracking of current and future capital projects and associated funding plans. Collaborates across units on the planning, funding, and implementation of capital projects and the implementation of the deferred maintenance program to ensure the plan is implemented in accordance with campus needs and funding restrictions. Assists in capital project approvals and reporting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (preferably in planning, public policy, business administration, social science, architecture/design, construction management, project management) and/or equivalent education/experience.
Experience providing analysis involving complex issues and data sources for assessing facility utilization and needs for university activities.
Experience developing long and short-term goals for resource planning, analyzing, and evaluating programmatic needs, and recommending changes for planning efforts.
Experience in stakeholder engagement, group facilitation, and coordination.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
Organizational skills to organize, plan, coordinate, and set priorities effectively.
Exceptional writing skills to produce concise, descriptive reports, and documents.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education/Experience:
Knowledge and experience with policies, procedures and practices regarding project funding and reporting requirements specific to capital projects for the University of California.
Experience with accounting procedures and practices, especially as it relates to the implementation of capital projects.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
Leadership skills with proven results in collaboration and participation of major campus and outside stakeholders.
