About the Opportunity
Job Summary
The Senior Data Analyst /Global Network Expansion is responsible for a wide range of activities that require competencies in the analytical, project leadership, quantitative, communication, strategic planning, university administration expertise and task completion areas. Duties typically include collecting and analyzing information from various sources including research materials, new accounts, governmental and private sector reports and analysis, interviews, and literature review, to provide data and analysis regarding Global Network opportunities. Must be able to prepare memos, reports, presentations, and briefings to University and GNSI leadership. The Network Expansion Analyst may also assist in the creation of business cases for various options, assess regulatory and political climates in various locations, and be able to collect and assimilate information regarding potential market characteristics of different options.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate to audiences at all levels of the organization, translating for both technical and non-technical audiences. Produce and deliver succinct, compelling PowerPoint presentations. Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as tableu, academic analytics, etc as well as Sharepoint and Sales Force. Proven research and analysis capabilities, including ability to synthesize research into compelling presentations or written materials. Excellent analysis, project management, problem-solving, decision-making and time management skills. Ability to interact with University staff and private sector participants in a sensitive and diplomatic manner, maintaining positive relationships. Knowledge and skills are normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree. Master's Degree preferred. Knowledge of a higher educational environment is preferred.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Research opportunities for growth of Northeastern's Global Network. (80%)
Use a variety of methods to gather market information, including literature review, internet research, interviews, document reviews, and other methods as applicable.
Research and analyze information for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, and relevance.
Under the direction of the Vice President, participate in the oversight of outside consultants to ensure their work is optimized.
Support the Vice President of Global Network Expansion as necessary. (20%)
Provide a range of support to the VP GNE, including production of documents, administrative support, and representing the VP as required.
