The primary accountabilities below are intended to describe the general content of and requirements of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties.
To continually improve the quality of services provided by the Department of Facilities Planning Design and Construction (PDC) through the creation and maintenance of the department's policies, processes, and procedures across the PDC teams, to ensure high quality and consistent results.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Develops and maintains Project Manager's (PM) Manual and keeps it up to date with new developments and changes.Plans, arranges, and schedules continual training for PDC employees on PM Manual sections.
Implements Facilities Design Standards and keeps them up to date with new developments and changes.Plans, arranges, and schedules continual training for PDC employees on Standards.
Solicits feedback from PDC employees and use it to improve the Project Management Software.Schedules regular training/continuing education to ensure full PM Software usage.
Establishes, codifies, and implements a standard closeout procedure for conveying project data to Facilities Management upon completion.Creates recap reporting on Board level projects to be used by team directors with User groups and Upper Administration.
Works with Team U to keep the Campus Maps up to date and ready for presentation and distribution.
Collaborates with the AVP of PDC with staffing and hiring for PDC.Recruits and reviews candidates.Interviews and advises.
Assists the AVP of PDC and Operations Manager to consistently and efficiently respond to yearly audit requests.Prepares and presents requested items.
Supports the AVP of PDC and with Associate VP for Research Facilities and Infrastructure with preparation of grant submissions (schedules, estimates, visuals, and narratives).

STARTING ANNUAL RATE OF PAY: $77,640.00 - $100,935.00 - $126,170.00 (Commensurate with experience & qualifications).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Construction or a related field and eight (8) years of related experience.Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS:
Driving record should meet University underwriting guidelines to drive vehicle in performance of University business. Current underwriting guidelines include possession a valid driver's license, issued in the United States; at least 21 years of age; at least three years of driving experience; maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
PERSONAL: Required to possess the necessary physical requirements, with or without the aid of mechanical devices, to safely perform the duties and responsibilities that require performing tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, walking significant distances between and within buildings on campus, standing, climbing stairs, and sitting at computer for long periods of time.
