The Contract Administrator position is responsible for the administration of contract processes for UC Davis Health's Facilities Planning and Development Division under the supervision of the Contracts Manager. Minimum Qualifications
Experience in public administration of construction and consultant contracts.
Experience with construction contract and competitive bid policies, procedures, and regulations. Knowledge of legal concepts and principles to recognize unacceptable contract provisions in construction contracts, consultant agreements and authorizations.
Experience reading and analyzing complex technical and legal documents, including construction contracts, negotiated contracts, and consultant agreements.
Skills to research, interpret, and apply federal/state/university rules, regulations, policies, and department mission, goals, and objectives.
Skill to analyze technical problems, develop solutions, and make recommendations based on objective analysis.
Ability to obtain cooperation and support from others, optimize contributions of all project staff including consultants and members, and freely share information and expertise.
Skill, ability, or experience to contribute as a team player in a respectful and professional environment.
Skill to work independently and make decisions under general direction.
Skill to develop short-term and long-term plans/solutions to meet operational goals.
Ability to handle a variety of assignments with constant interruptions.
Ability to work effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment subject to changing priorities.
Ability to meet customer/client expectations, with an emphasis on quality, quantity, and timeliness of work.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge and advanced skills to operate custom computerized systems to prepare correspondence, reports, and schedules. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, calendaring, project management, and document management database programs. Skill to use the Internet and web-based applications.
Ability to initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to exhibit good listening skills and keep others informed.
Ability to exercise integrity and discretion in all matters and to protect confidential information.
