This position is grant funded and contingent upon funding and satisfactory performance.

The Extension Program Assistant is responsible to the Extension County Director and the Assistant Dean for the Department of Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) and works under programmatic direction of the project Principal Investigator/Associate Professor for Community Health and Vaccine Education Project Manager. This position will be responsible for providing support to the grant-funded TN Vaccine Education program in East Tennessee. Included activities involving delivery of current, research-based subject matter information to both youth and adults in such a way that meets the needs of all participants, work with volunteers, create and maintain community partnerships, plan and conduct county events and supporting FCS programming with vaccine education content. This position will implement and evaluate educational program components as indicated in the grant.

Duties/Responsibilities:

* Perform duties for staff and clientele that meets the needs of all eligible clientele regardless of race, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, religion or veteran status.

* Coordinate team meetings, maintain communication with team members, track and monitor progress.

* Plan and organize social media education and promotional efforts for assigned projects.

* Assist agents, local health department, community partners and Community Nurse Navigators as needed.

* Develop new community partnerships to support education.

* Communicate county-level evaluation data to agents and program manager.

* Participate in required in-service trainings.

* Implement curriculum, including lesson guides, PPTs, developing/editing educational support pieces, and other materials.

* Conduct program implementation activities with other entities (internal and external to UT): monitor progress and report evaluation data.

* Coordinate distribution of educational materials via manned or unmanned displays, events or partnerships.

* Assure program implementation, delivery and evaluation activities are in compliance with the grant guidance and established policies and procedures for the program and for Extension.
