Summary of Position:
We’re AVIXA (Audiovisual & Integrated Experience Association), and we’re seeking a dynamic Digital Community Specialist to help manage AVIXA Xchange, where all things audiovisual come together in one vibrant digital space. Our vision is to serve as a trusted hub for the industry to connect, grow their knowledge and business, and be inspired. Our AVIXA Xchange initiative is focused on not just reaching but engaging with the AV industry around the world.
What will you do?
In this role, you’ll lead the charge in making AVIXA Xchange the go-to destination for AV professionals and enthusiasts. Bring your instincts, data skills, and a dash of fun as you grow our community and amplify the AV experience.
Working closely with peers across the organization and the industry, you’ll coordinate, collaborate (and listen!), and conversate your way into the hearts and minds of the Xchange users. With over 17k users and growing, the AVIXA Xchange is brimming with potential that it needs you to help unlock. You’ll work most closely with the product team to optimize the experience; the social and digital content teams to create cross-pollination opportunities; and the global industry engagement team to connect even deeper with our network. You’ll use data to monitor trends, spot (and seize!) opportunities, and get ahead of what our community needs and wants most.
Speaking of data – key success metrics in this role will include things like how much time people spend with us, how often they return, and how we’re interacting with the rest of our product portfolio.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Spark lively conversations and connections among AVIXA Xchange users
- Drive effective and relevant user experiences throughout AVIXA Xchange, as well as to-and-from related products within our portfolio
- Nurture established key industry relationships with notable personalities and contributors
- Be a reliable resource internally across our global teams
- Assist with analyzing user needs, behaviors, and competitive trends, to make data-driven decisions.
- Attend industry and association events on behalf of the company.
- Ensure OKRs are effectively defined, measurable, and monitored.

- An uncanny ability to mix data-driven insights with creative instincts
- Direct experience managing an engaged community. Bonus points for experience with a professional community!
- A deep love for audiovisual tech and/or a track record of quickly mastering new fields
- Proactive and curious: monitor industry trends and conversations across multiple sources to better ensure relevancy.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a pinch of casual flair.
- Collaborative spirit, ready to work with our incredible team around the world to help match their objectives to the strengths of the AVIXA Xchange.
- Experience creating and/or monitoring reports for internal and external distribution.
- You prioritize people – serving our audiences, members, and internal stakeholders.
- Bonus points for experience serving a global and/or multi-lingual audience. Extra bonus points for familiarity, either conversational or fluent, with the Spanish or German languages.
- Experience integrating data from analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics, Parse.ly, etc.) into decisions daily, and demonstrated ability to effectively disseminate data so that it is actionable and digestible by multiple audiences.
Education: Knowledge and experience are prioritized. College/ education may be considered alongside direct experience.
Experience Level: Minimum of 3 years proven experience as digital community coordinator or manager. Bonus points for non-profit, AV, software, and/or media experience.
Certifications: n/a (Bonus points for CTS)
Technical Skills: Social media platform fluency, digital community platform(s) fluency, digital analytics platform (Google Analytics/ GA4, GoSquared, etc.)
Starting base salary range is $55,000-$75,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. Full benefits are available and the position is eligible for the Staff level annual bonus program.
