University Advancement is seeking an Associate Director, Prospect Data Management to join its Development Research and Relationship Management team. Reporting to Director, Relationship Management, the incumbent will serve as a primary subject matter expert for all relationship management-related queries from across USCâs advancement community.
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary subject matter expert for all relationship management-related queries from across USCâs advancement community through oversight of a request intake system. Prioritize the request workload, delegate tasks where appropriate, and ensure that all queries and requests are answered efficiently and tracked effectively.
Serve as the lead custodian of all relationship management data (e.g., proposals, contact reports, assignments, strategies, tasks, ratings) and ensure that data in Salesforce is accurate and up to date.
Create daily and weekly audits to ensure a high level of integrity of all relationship management data.
Oversee University Advancementâs wealth screening program, including file preparation and result uploads.
Maintain and refine metrics that assist with prospect prioritization and fundraiser portfolio optimization.
Create and update documentation around relationship management-related processes and procedures. Periodically review processes for relevance and accuracy and work to ensure the materials are updated and, when appropriate, communicated to the advancement community at large.
Provide project and resource management internally among the Relationship Management team and in partnership with and support of colleagues in Business Intelligence, Development Research, and CRM User Experience, when required.
Provide direct supervision to one direct report in Relationship Management.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Minimum Education
Bachelorâs degree
Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Qualifications
Familiarity with fundraising CRMs, preferably Salesforce.
Basic proficiency in SQL and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, and/or Qlik.
Excellent oral and interpersonal skills and strong project management and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
Masterâs degree
Five years of experience in related professional experience.
Familiarity with project management and issue tracking software, such as Asana, Jira, Monday, Trello, Wrike, or a similar tool.
Knowledge of common practices in the fields of fundraising, alumni relations, development, and prospect development. Ability to conceptualize and develop proactive prospecting methodologies to support organizational goals, including data mining, sophisticated constituent database queries, etc.
Familiarity with wealth screening, including vendors and application to fundraising.

The budgeted salary for this position is $90,000 â $100,000.
