The General Pediatrics division of the Department of Pediatrics is seeking a full-time Sr. Research Program Coordinator II (Sr. RPC II). The successful candidate will work with the Principal Investigators to coordinate all arms of the project, serve as an ongoing liaison to seven pediatric primary care practices across Maryland who will be partners in this project, and provide organizational support and coordination of the Project Advisory Board. The Senior RPC II may also supervise additional research and project staff such as work study and research students and other part-time research assistants.
The Sr. RPC II will have primary oversight of all day-to-day operations of the High Five for Prenatal to Five collaborative early learning hub project, funded by a HRSA grant. High Five for Prenatal to Five is a multi-site project focused on improving healthy equity through the provision of early childhood development supports within the context of pediatric primary care. Johns Hopkins University is the lead organization for this project with collaborators at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Medicine. The project objectives include: 1) placing, training, and supporting early childhood experts in seven pediatric primary care practices across Maryland in implementing evidence-based interventions designed to promote the health and well-being of young children and their families including HealthySteps, Chicago Parent Program and Mothers and Babies; 2) providing training and technical assistance to increase the knowledge and capacities of these practices to meet the needs of children 0-5 years old and their families; 3) partnering with the project advisory board to address policy and financing barriers to sustaining project services; 4) intentionally addressing health equity and the social determinants of health through all project activities; and 5) ensuring rigorous monitoring and evaluation of all project activities.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Lead development, ongoing maintenance and implementation of project standard operating procedures and work plans.
Partner with study PIs and collaborators in the planning and implementation of the project.
Participate in scientific discussions with PIs and the research team.
Regularly engage with primary care sites and other stakeholders to recruit participating primary care sites
Support the ongoing work of the project advisory board
Facilitate communication between research team, primary care sites, intervention and other research staff, and the funding agency.
Schedule high level meetings of multiple stakeholders
Development of Data Collection & Intervention Materials
Under supervision of the PIs, draft sections of study protocols.
Drafts and finalizes consent forms for research participants with guidance from the PIs.
Schedules interviews and oversees survey administration as appropriate.
Draft and finalize participant recruitment scripts under the guidance of the PIs.
Identify and recruit primary care sites across the state for participation in the project.
Monitor achievement of recruitment goals and ensures appropriate, timely, and accurate documentation and data entry.
Assist with scheduling, planning and implementing trainings in the evidence-based interventions that are the focus of this project.
Help develop and closely monitor REDCap databases and other data collection tools that will be used during data collection and for data storage and management
Data Synthesis & Analysis
Participate in planning, analysis and interpretation of data.
Synthesize and edit research findings and technical data.
Participate in the development and submission of scientific manuscripts, presentations, and technical reports to the funder.
Prepare data on project implementation and outcomes for presentation at professional meetings.
Assist research team in developing plans for disseminating project results.
Administrative
Monitor project budgets and allocation of project resources.
Plan agendas and coordinate all project meetings.
Review, edit, distribute minutes from project meetings.
Participate in monthly oversight meeting with funding agency and prepares regular project updates.
Schedule introductory and follow up meetings with participating primary care sites and other relevant stakeholders
Work in coordination with research team to ensure accuracy, proper organization and advanced preparation of reports to the funder.
Prepare and update study protocols and reports for Institutional Review Board
Assist with grant writing under guidance of the PIs.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
Five years related experience.
Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
Related Master's Degree.
Experience with multisite research projects.
Comfort working with and in primary care clinics.
