Job Description

The Senior Data Systems Engineer’s role is to develop, implement and support data systems across the organization, ensuring high levels of data availability, integration and automation. The Senior Data Systems Engineer is responsible for leading and developing ongoing data integration initiatives, data exchange between various systems, and the automation of data exchange. They are  responsible for the administration, development and management of PowerSchool.

Responsibilities:

Administer PowerSchool - Student Information System

Build and manage data systems.

Lead data integration and automation efforts.

Advise on tech choices for data systems.

Write complex SQL queries.

Develop data visualization.

Build web apps

Administer Google Workspace.

Qualifications

Required:

ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certification

MCSE BI, MCSE Data Analytics 

BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field

Data analysis and visualization certifications, such as Google Looker & Big Query, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI

Programming language certifications in areas such as SQL, Python, .Net, Javascript

Google Workspace Administrator Certification

Skills and Experience

Strong skills in databases and SQL.

Web development skills.

Data analysis and visualization skills.

Programming skills.

Project management skills.

Professional Attributes:

Good communication skills.

Team player.

Self-motivated.

Detail-oriented.

Can work under pressure.

School Hours: 7.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. 

Occasional weekend or evening work will be required.
