Londonderry Township, located in Dauphin County, is seeking applicants for the position of Township Manager.
This is a full-time, executive level position responsible for the daily oversight of operations for all Township Departments.
The Township Manager serves as the principal advisor to the Township Board of Supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the township, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services to residents.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and policies to meet the needs of the community.
- Manage and supervise township staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure a high level of performance.
- Collaborate with elected officials, community organizations, and other stakeholders to address issues and promote community development.
- Prepare and present reports, budgets, and proposals to elected officials and the public.
- Monitor and evaluate township programs and services to ensure they are meeting established goals and objectives.
- Identify opportunities for business development and process improvement within the Township.
- Applicants will be required to attend all Planning Commission, Zoning Hearing Board and Board of Supervisors meetings, which are held in the evening.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, engineering a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience* in project management, leadership, and managing teams.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent supervisory skills* with a track record of effectively leading a diverse workforce.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, including profit loss statements, and make strategic decisions based on findings.
- Skillsets in Budgeting, Planning, Business Recruitment, Parks and Recreation and MS4 requirements.
-Understand and apply the Pennsylvania Second Class Township code when making decisions, develop and direct strategies to meet goals, determine scope and priorities of programs and special projects, maintain integrity, professionalism, philosophies, attitudes, values and intentions of the Township by assuring that all rules and regulations are followed.
- Strong background related to preparing grant applications, compliance and monitoring on the Federal, State and Local levels.
- Proficient in strategic planning* and implementing initiatives* to drive growth and improve efficiency.
- Knowledge of local government operations, policies, and regulations*.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with elected officials, staff, residents, and community organizations.
-Be proficient in typing and using all Microsoft software.
*Note: The Township is open to training applicants with no previous Township Manager experience, although have some municipal supervisory/department head background.
