The Office of Communications and Marketing at Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business is looking for a Multimedia Specialist. The role of the Multimedia Specialist position is to lead the strategy and production of audience-facing multimedia, including videos, photography and podcasts. In addition to the pre-production, production, and post-production pipeline, the Multimedia Specialist is responsible for the high-level marketing strategy behind the Business School's multimedia efforts.
A Bachelor's Degree, two years of relevant experience and an active Christian faith are required. A Masters degree and five years of relevant experience is preferred.
A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for the strategic development and production pipeline of videos within the Business School. This includes pre-production planning (strategy, serving as producer, scheduling, and communication), production (equipment management, audio recording, lighting, cinematography), and post-production (editing, color correction, VFX). Additionally, the position is responsible for the upload and management of videos to YouTube. This position requires experience with, and working knowledge of, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Audition. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator is a plus. Knowledge of animation in Adobe After Effects is also a plus. Some events may require occasional evening/weekend videography responsibilities as needed to fulfill multimedia strategy. Other duties include the maintenance, care, cataloging, organization, and security of the studio and equipment.
This position is responsible for studio photography (camera setup, lighting, etc.) as well as occasional event photography, typically on-site. Additional photography duties include photography editing/touch-up and color correction as needed. Experience with Adobe Lightroom is preferred.
This position is responsible for the production and post-production pipeline of the award-winning Innovative Business podcast. This includes facilitating setup, recording, and editing (utilizing Adobe Audition) of each episode, as well as management of the podcast syndication platform. Additional duties may include co-host.
This role manages a part-time student photographer position. Supervisory duties include coaching, review of student work for quality, and coordination of schedules and responsibilities.
The Multimedia Specialist is responsible for the review and coordination of all digital signage requests. This includes ensuring that all requested signs meet Business School and Baylor University branding guidelines, all signage contains necessary and correct information, and all signage is facilitated expeditiously in coordination with the supervisor, the Senior Graphic Designer (as needed), and the Business School ITS team.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
