Overview
NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Director, Communications on the Public Affairs team. The Assistant Director will support the Alumni Relations office in its efforts to communicate important updates from the School, promote alumni events, develop graphics for fundraising appeal letters and emails, create a range of content (posts, video reels) for alumni social media accounts, assist with the development of the alumni magazine, write editorial and informational content for the magazine and website, manage email marketing efforts including the development of e-newsletters and event invitations, and provide overall support for alumni engagement through various communication channels. Manage the design, print and mailing of communications materials; data and mail list requests and management; secure vendor estimates and manage project budgets.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant alumni, membership relations, or direct marketing experience, including experience working with an email marketing system and a website content management system, excellent writing skills, basic digital design experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels and strong customer service, organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills are required. The selected candidate must possess the ability to juggle multiple tasks and strong attention to detail. Knowledge of standard office software, and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) or other design programs, such as Canva, is also required. Experience with HTML and knowledge of creating dynamic email content, journey mapping, and optimizing email open rates is preferred.
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $64,636.37 to USD $78,999.99. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
