JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Assistant Director, Student Enrollment the Assistant Director, Student Enrollment is responsible for managing a caseload of undergraduate and graduate prospective students, applicants, and newly admitted students. The Assistant Director conducts follow up communication (by way of phone, email or other digital engagement platforms) with prospective students to ensure the highest level of service and enrollment counseling. They serve as the central point of contact for students within their assigned caseload. In addition, they provide support with inbound calls on an as-need basis and participate in in-person and digital open houses and information sessions.
The Assistant Director assists with various stages of the enrollment funnel and works with prospective students in the following manner: assist them in selecting the program that best fits their educational needs and professional goals; assist applicants through the admissions process by counseling applicants to successfully complete their application file; work with newly admitted students and appropriate college liaisons to guide students with their initial course registration. The individual in this position will be expected to provide students with relevant and timely information about the university's programs, admissions requirements, deadlines, financial aid and visa support, and other student-related items. The Assistant Director's enrollment strategy will include, but is not limited to, significant call and email engagements, new student follow-ups, and virtual meetings designed to attract students in line with the priorities of Colleges and Campus Deans.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree is required. Two to four years of experience in student enrollment, non-traditional college admissions and/or sales. Any experience in counseling, call campaigns, and small and large group presentations also preferred. This position will require a flexible work schedule, including some nights and weekends, and travel will be minimal, but may be required periodically. Proven ability to work independently, excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are required. They must be sensitive and responsive to the needs of diverse constituencies and managing goals. The individual must also possess a positive attitude, be a self-starter and is able to work within a fast-paced, metric driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Management of the Enrollment Cycle
Provide applicants and prospective students with information and guidance on programs, admissions requirements, application directions, course format options, financial aid, registration, College services and other enrollment activities. Work with supervisor to better facilitate ongoing improvements within the enrollment cycle.
Enrollment Counseling to prospective students
Provide prospective students with the necessary counseling and information to help them select the appropriate program by identifying their skills, interests and career goals
Assist applicants with the admissions process, including program requirements, application timelines and submitting all required credentials; with the goal of helping him/her fully complete an admissions application
Assist students in the course registration process by guiding a student in initial course selection and registration
Execution and follow up
Complete designated outreach to leads generated by marketing and/or recruitment in order to meet enrollment goals
Complete designated outreach to applicants and newly accepted students in order to meet enrollment goals
Complete pre-application screenings for designated programs and follow up on potential issues
Conduct timely application reviews in conjunction with AcademicDeans and Program Directors, when applicable
Confirm enrollment for students within assigned caseload (manage applicants options, withdrawal, deferral, change of program, etc.)
Coordinate and perform quarterly outbound call campaigns to current and prospective students
Provide insight and feedback to supervisor on ways to improveEnrollment Management for assigned caseload
Customer Service and Recruitment Support
Support the overall goal and mission of the Enrollment Management Contact Center by demonstrating a positive, collaborate and supportive attitude towards team members, students, and across University departments.
Provide back-up to Contact Center in-bound line
Support the EMCC in-bound calls by being first level of contact for callers when additional support is necessary
Answer telephone inquiries from applicants, current and prospective students about our admissions, advising, course formats, registration, financial aid and other students related questions
Resolve student questions by providing program information, accessing the student record information, directing the caller to appropriate information on our website or emailing appropriate forms/documents
General admissions support
Provide accurate and timely responses to emails that come into shared admission inboxes
Provide visitor support coverage for admissions when needed
Provide recruitment support for events within the scope of assigned caseload and at on-campus admission events
Assist with the training and developing for new employees
Record Management
Maintain accurate and timely record keeping of all interaction with students in order to produce accurate reporting.
Maintain an accurate record of applicant and prospective student interactions in CRM and application systems in order to track and produce reports
Prepare reports as requested on applicant & prospective student contact activity
Provide feedback on any issues/interests that may arise during applicant & prospective student contact in efforts to provide continued improvement of the student experience
Keep current with all programs within assigned programs in order to be able to properly assist applicant & prospective students with the enrollment cycle.
Work closely with Associate Director in order to collect, analyze and present data that will allow the institution
