Position Summary

The Center for Precision Medicine and Genomics seeks to hire a skilled individual who enjoys working with people and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work as a Clinical Research Coordinator for multi-year research programs. The overall objective of this study is to obtain informed consent to participate in research studies, including the All of Us Research Program.

The Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for collecting physical measurements, blood pressure readings, biospecimens (e.g., blood and saliva), and administering study questionnaires for future research purposes. New patients will be approached in various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, as well as community events such as Health & Community Fairs and Community-Based Organization events.

Responsibilities

• Explain the research study to potential participants and assist with digital enrollment for eligible participants.
• Review and adhere to research protocols and data management requirements for each enrolled patient, maintaining regulatory documents and administrative files for each protocol.
• Collaborate with the research nurse, treating physicians, and clinical team to ensure patient eligibility criteria are met for enrollment.
• Maintain both patient and regulatory research records, working closely with the study team to gather necessary data and clinical information.
• Support the day-to-day recruitment of subjects, involving interactions with potential participants in waiting rooms, community events, telephone calls, and emails.
• Attend weekly meetings with the enrollment team, maintain screening and recruitment logs, obtain in-person informed consent, collect biospecimens (blood, saliva, urine), and assess and report barriers to recruitment.
• Work both independently and as part of a team, engaging with diverse populations.
• Build rapport with participants to foster long-term commitment and engagement with the All of Us Research Program.
• Display excellent written communication skills, compassion, discretion, and follow-through.
• Perform additional related duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor???s degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Willingness to undergo phlebotomist training.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in clinical research
• Phlebotomy skills/ability to perform blood draws
• Bilingual in English/Spanish or fluency in other languages 

Other Requirements

• Participation in the medical surveillance program
  • Contact with patients and/or human research subjects
  • Potential bloodborne pathogen exposure
• Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
